A song can re-enter the main chart after going recurrent if it gets enough activity to re-enter in the Top 50 (or the Top 25 if it spent 52+ weeks on the chart, but none of Prince's songs ever did that).

I Will Always Love You was discounted to $0.69 after Whitney's death, at least for a period of time. That's what I paid for the download.
There are going to be a lot of backward bullets this week and especially next week, with several songs potentially getting bumped out of the Top 50 that would rise back to the Top 50 two weeks later. I'm looking at Hello for instance. BB should relax it's 50/20 for a couple of weeks due to these virtually unprecedented set of circumstances surrounding the passing of the Purple Legend.
