Adele sold over 3 million copies on her first week and then sold over 1 million in two different weeks. Hello sold over 1 million in a week and was bigger than anything Taylor's ever released. Adele is currently touring and we'll see how much she grosses in the end, do remember she's not doing places as big as Swift used to do.

Ok? Call Me Maybe and Tik Tok are also bigger than any Taylor single but the Kesha and Carly eras are not bigger than Taylor

And yes I'm aware she's got huge album sales. But 75% of them happened within the first 2 months. A flash in the pan era. It was record breaking and monumental right out of the gate, but then the era fizzled out and now we're here.

She has the highest selling song by a female artist in the US. Three of her songs have sold over 10 million worldwide and I am sure Set Fire to the Rain is up there as well. She's earned ten Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, an Oscar and she's up for an Emmy Award. She's sold way more albums than Taylor Swift with only three releases.

Her album is not smashing right now because she's not releasing singles and premiering videos in every single award show she can or any special event like NYE. She's simply out there touring and doing what she loves most.

When is all said and done she'll have another diamond album and not everyone has that.
