Butterfly is still my favorite but TEC is truly her 2nd Butterfly. It's as fresh for me as it was 2 years ago.

I mean lets be honest here, since when has Mariah been so honest in her lyricism in songs like Cry. and Faded? There are moments on the album where she sounds she is in true despair but despite this she sticks to the message shes always relayed, you can make it Through The Rain. Cuts like Dedicated and #Beautiful show a new spin on classic sounds which has always been her forte. MC even finds time to allow her guest stars to shine, her talents have grown so much that even Fabulous sounds amazing side by side with the Queen. MIAM has its missteps but what Mariah album doesn't? Shes raw, she cuts deep, queen still sounds great and MIAM is the epitome of a classic MC album!

MIAM is a celebration of Mariah's entire career. It has every type of sound she's ever done, from the piano ballads to the hazy summer nostalgia tracks to covers of 80s classics to straight Gospel. It's obvious she literally put her all into the album and it's by far her most personal because of what she was going through at the time. Like before she would have some personal tracks here and there or write metaphorically, with MIAM she was actually experiencing the hopeless romance she would constantly write about. Even the cheesy ass title is Mariah campiness personified x10

If only the vocals weren't holding it back
if only the bonus tracks were not leftovers
if only dembabies didn't ruin Supernatural
If only the best parts of Thirsty and Faded(the endings) were just a bit longer

I mean if the vocals are THAT disappointing enough to hold the album back (they aren't) y'all shoulda jumped ship after 1997! There's more to our dear Mariah than high notes

Faded is perfect, tho the ending of Thirsty is def awkward

The skip button exists for Supernatural so no problem there!

And idk anyone who seriously acknowledges those bonus tracks as part of the album (no offense if you do xoxo)
