I mean, everyone should have listened to Bloomberg's proposal to split New York into two different states, Buffalo and New York (consisting of NYC, Westchester and Long Island) but they didn't want to because we are the reason the state isn't broke af.

How would you guys feel about this? Personally I'm all for it. Not only are upstate and downstate completely different demographics, but we (downstate) are burdened by supporting the rest of the state in taxes.
