Streaming isn't everything, and shouldn't be counted as everything. When a song's sales and radio numbers are mediocre, that means it's fairly weak overall. 7Y collapsed on sales which hurt it TW. I just wish Panda could've gained just a little more and knocked Work out. On the YE Hot 100, I think LY will rank well ahead of Work, as LY is overall a much stronger song with shittier timing on the Hot 100, and much greater longevity. LY doesn't deserve such a long #1 run on HRS though, because its numbers there aren't that great.

Like my thread comparing We Belong Together and Work implied, WBT's reign was the end of the totally radio-dominated period, Work is likely the beginning of the totally streaming-dominated period.
Though hopefully not quite to that extent; Radio Songs was practically synonymous with the Hot 100 for awhile.

Then it wasn't that strong then was it?
Sure sales are higher during the holidays by an order of magnitude but the same can't be said of streaming.

What does Hello being performed on SNL have to do with anything? I also never saw a viral video for Hello unless you mean the official video? but I don't think that's what they mean with viral videos...

Wait... why did you say a lot of #1's don't have viral videos, yet every song you named has a video with well over 1 billion views other than Love Yourself which still has over a massive 500M views

Viral means the video is being share from person to person. Just because people heard a song on the radio and decided to look the song up on YouTube and watch it does not mean the video has gone viral.
