I know this album is gonna be SO superior to Lotus, without even hearing it. I mean, her vocals have improved, her image has improved tenfold and most importantly in addition to taking her time creating it in true Christina fashion, she's finally re-inspired. I think it's safe to say that we can look forward to a quality album ala B2B, Bionic and Stripped. Or at LEAST a huge improvement on Lotus, even though it really wouldn't be difficult to achieve.

One of my favorites from Bionic tbh, so underrated! I love the melody and her voice sounds heavenly.

Now you reminded me of the Ladytron collaboration we didn't heard - Kimono Girl - I hope we get to listen to that some day.

I still think of what Bionic could've been to this day tbh

It's the era with the most "could have should have would have" I've ever experienced and it's fascinating. There was so much promise back in 2009 when we were getting some tea about the producers and the direction. And the album still ended up great, but I always wonder how greater it would've been if she had finished the songs with Goldfrapp, if we had the remaining 3 Ladytron tracks etc.

Anyway, I hope she's as passionate about the new album as she was for Bionic before the backlash. I'm fine with Q4 2016 or even Q1 2017 as long as she does some collabs. Not just to hold us over, but to build buzz too.

She just waits too damn long. Right after her debut she should have released 2 follow ups (main studio albums) in 2000 and 2001. Imagine how high her sales would have been in total now. Bionic should have came in 2008, two years after B2B (which they should have added just 1 more song to qualify for double certification), not 4 years later. And it's too bad RCA interfered with Bionic...this part at least wasn't her fault.

Sorry for the rant. But this woman is lazy, lazy, lazy. Who else takes two 4-year breaks in the prime of their career (2002-2006 and 2006-2010)?

But it goes to show how much power her name has and how much her talent is revered because no other pop star would be able to survive that.

On the one hand, you're absolutely right about how the breaks hindered her career. On the other hand, I don't know if we would get albums of the quality of Stripped and B2B if she hadn't taken those breaks. That's why I'm trying to be patient for the new album. Cause maybe it'll be so flawless that it'll make the wait worth it, like some of her previous ones. I'd rather wait 4 (might be 5 in this case) to get a magnum opus than wait 2 years to get Lotus 2.0

Good point. I just wish after B2B she would have taken at the most 2 years to finish and release her albums.

I know most other pop artists aren't involved at all in the creation process and have songwriting camps, so they can pump out albums faster or almost yearly. But I don't think I would minded if Xtina went that route after B2B so we would have had more music and a lot more quickly too.

But I know she likes to be involved in every aspect.
