One of the defining moments of Beyonce for me was during the word association game in Flaunt, when she associated the word "power" with "heavy."
Seeing the racial tensions grow had to be heavy for her to see, and I honestly feel she got to a point in her career where she had to make a statement. Yes, many other artists and celebrities made statements, and yes we have a black president - but clearly that was not enough.
I feel like Beyonce is the only artist with this much power & credibility that can move the nation. Kendrick is obviously her counterpart, but he has spoken about black power since Day 1 and never really crossed over to mainstream or global domination like Beyonce. Kanye, no disrespect, sold his soul when he married Kim Kardashian & lost a great deal of credibiliy in the Black community. He is too wishy washy to be taken as seriously.
Beyonce actually walks the talk, and she has figured out how to add just the right about of creativity & cleverness to make her message easily relatable to the average American. Also, because she has never really fully spoken on black issues in this capacity - it is interesting to hear her perspective, especialy since it seems to be sensory overload.
Do you think we're gonna see her kill someone? I keep picturing her luring someone into one of those red rooms and slaughtering whoever it is. As revenge or something
I think it would be cool if it started out with Formation and the scene where she looks like a badass catching the keys. Then she gets killed and seeks revenge as some creole voodoo spirit

I would love it it sounds wrong when I think about it

Someone please tell me why I am listening to and enjoying "Daddy" right now..
it happens to me sometimes... it's a good song; it just get weird when she wants her husband like her daddy; another inappropriate thing is its place on a monogamy themed album. I mean it would be cool on the intimate IASF.

she let us the choice with ST as we could start with the DISC 2 or DISC 1. she should still respect that;
plus I'm here for the sales increase saturday night friday will be enough of a slayage already
