The Queen is the head of the Church of England and rules the country. Essentially we are a Christian nation. 91% are either Christian (59.5%) or non-religious (32.8%). Less than 5% of the UK population are muslims.

Equality laws are enshrined (in other words, poor dat) - there have been an increasing number of homophobic attacks on gay establishments by "muslim patrols" in certain areas (such as Bradford, or Tower Hamlets). Aside from Islamic Forum of Europe infiltrating the Labour party (our mainstream left-wing political party), I don't think there is much clout behind these figures/stats. In other words, what are they gonna do about it?

Should also follow the example of other countries and make sure imams have a 'licence to preach' so we ensure only moderate ones have the chance.
