That position is actually very good for where it is on other metrics.

I don't think people hate it, though it does sound very different from what's currently on the radio. This is purely anecdotal, but people seem to have forgotten about Sia every time she puts out a new solo single. People aren't checking for her new releases -- she doesn't seem to have a large core fan base here -- and many rediscover her when they hear about a new single (whether from airplay or a TV show). I think that's why her singles take a lot of time to build up. We'll see what CT ends up doing.

It's very interesting point of view. CT is great example of EU-US taste difference. Sia's song is right now #5 on european airplay chart list and it's in Top5 on streaming charts.
In the other hand, Work is completly unpopular here and when I said my friends that Panda gonna be next #1 on Hot100 they were like WTF America.

Yeah, I don't think CT will come close to that mark here on pop radio (Chandelier only got to #9). I'm surprised it is doing so well in Europe, honestly. It doesn't seem especially appealing to European listeners, but then again I don't know too much about European listeners.
It doesn't surprise me that Work isn't popular where you are, though. It's significantly more urban than Rihanna's past singles.

I hope Kiiara can smash. "Tennessee" could be a huge hit riding off the success of "Gold"

"Work" was a decent sized smash in my country, as urban as it sounds.

Work did amazing in Europe for an urban/dancehall song. I'm actually shocked that it went #1 in some North European countries like Denmark and Netherlands.

Saying Work isn't popular in Europe is like saying I Took A Pill in Ibiza or Work From Home isn't popular in the US.

I never said Work wasn't popular in Europe- I was just referencing popmusic's anecdote regarding its popularity in his social circle.

Let's not pretend it was some kind of local US smash.
@popmusic: Work topped Poland Spotify tho and it's still top 10
@alexanderao: Yeah I know, I was just specifying.

Yea, but it was huge flop on YouTube and you have to remember that YouTube/Vevo has 95% streaming marketshare here. I'm not sure but it wasn't charted on polish airplay top100.

I was literally praying for Kanye's songs to drop off the top 10 yesterday, with One Dance and Dangerous Woman replacing them. And now:
Quote:
9. One Dance (+32) (709,724) *New peak* *Debuted yesterday*
10. Dangerous Woman (662,316)

Oh wow, didn't know that.
Btw I was just kidding, even if it did well on Spotify I know that it wasn't big as some of her older hits like Diamonds or WFL. I also checked polish airplay top 100 and it didn't go top 50 ( #53 peak), but that was expected; if USA pop radios struggled to playing it, that must have been ever harder for european radios! It still did well for a song of that kind and I'm fine with it.

Polish music industry is tragic so don't worry Here is polish Top100 for Q1 2016: http://popruntheworld.pl/youtube-2016q1/
Work had 3.6m streams from Jan. 1 to Mar. 31.
Wow, I'm slightly suprised that Rih was #53 because RMF played it 6 times and Radio ZET once (this two stations has ~40% airplay total marketshare and +60% of Top40 marketshare)
