First of all, Adele is a phenomenon, so you really cannot compare her to ordinary pop stars.

Secondly, 21 is that high only cuz it's extremely global and the 25 era is boosting it.

But that was not the point of my post. The point was, Taylor released a 6th single that flopped so everyone was saying it's time to end the era, with my post I simply wanted to show there is still some life left in it.

I don't think she should release anything further, I think radio is getting tired of her, and so are the listeners. For example, her callout scores for NR has plummeted compared to earlier singles, and her burn rate is very high, they should give listeners a break.

There was already a mention of the callout scores, and this is not the radio thread, so...

For the vast majority of the public, it's difficult for them to be totally sick of a certain celebrity unless they're on the TV all the time or constantly on tabloid covers for Scandals. Given that Taylor really only had like 1 televised US performance since the beginning of 2015...

Like, during the Teenage Dream era, which was 8 singles deep (ish), I think I brought Katy up more often to complain about her than anyone around me mentioned her. And the reactions ranged from mildly positive to mildly negative; I can say I'm sick of her, but most people really just don't care enough to be able to be sick.
Or, the other day, my friend asked me "Oh, was Hello a hit?" The sheer number of casual fans who are non-stans and don't keep up with this stuff is enough to make any album release of Taylor a smash.
