It was cuz of low ticket sales. It just didn't make financial sense to plunge that much money into something if they weren't for sure going to make anything back. Also, she actually supported Kanye back then.

Gaga canceled the tour the day after Kanyegate and you really don't think it was because of Kanyegate?

I find it hard to believe that "ticket sales were low" considering the INSANE demand for the Monster Ball Tour.
