Britney Jean wasn't even that bad, I mean it's generic and stuff, but all her albums are. The way they tried to pass it as a "personal deep" album was a mess indeed though.

Nah it was pretty bad. Especially compared to ITZ/Blackout, heck even Femme Fatale. The whole "personal" thing wasn't executed at all.

I'm genuinely curious, not trolling: why didn't more of the US 10 mil or so Adele fans who bought/are buying 21 and 25 go back and buy 19 too?

I mean, I feel that a decent portion of the 5+ mil who got Taylor's first album were attracted by Fearless, which sold less than 21 or 25. T.S. didn't have a T10 hit.

A lot of users on this site argue that 25 is so huge largely propelled by people who loved 21 and didn't listen to 25 before insta-buying it. So why didn't more of these people snatch up 19 too?
