I think that invalid answers should be counted the same way that non-unique answers are in Season 2. Those who manage to find an unique answer should receive points for those who did not try hard enough to find an answer.

Yeah, I've been suggesting this for a while (and I think it was the inspiration for that one twist round). It'll make scores higher (so there will be less of a need to multiply people's scores at the end of a round if less people participate as the game goes on like what happened this season), and it also acts as a built-in difficulty rewarder for the categories, since categories that lead to more invalid answers are probably harder categories and therefore people who found something should get more points.

Next season, what I'm thinking of doing is multiplying the scores each round such that the winner always gets 100. Tell me what you think.

I think the multiplier should achieve a certain average score, not a certain winner score. There can be rounds where points were generally high, but nobody in particular did exceptionally well (there was just nobody who did exceptionally badly either). In that case, forcing the winner to 100 points would be inflating scores more than they should be.

Conversely, if there was a generally really low scoring round but Kavish one person managed to be the exception (let's say there was some triple category where only one person got a unique answer so they got a ton of points for that category), then the multiplier might be too small for the average person that round.

I like the idea of a set number of points per round (or at least for the winner).

There's always going to be people that drop out and a variable amount of players from round to round Less players generally mean less overall points. I just took a look at the spreadsheet and it looks like there has been a decline in overall points per round since the first round

I feel like if the top scorer won 100 points, for example, that would reward people that consistently do well, while still allowing for a competitive game, that doesn't rely as much on the amount of players. My anyway.

This is a good point. I would have to use math to find that multiplier, though, and my lazy self kinda doesn't want to do that. I'll definitely consider it.

Yeah scoring needs an overhaul for season 2 but don't ask me how b/c I'm terrible at math But I'm not really complaining b/c me coming in 2nd/3rd for the first few rounds has kept me in the overall top 3 for the entire game I've performed quite averagely for the past 15 rounds or so

That's a big part of why I want to have an S2- not only because the game is really fun but also because I think I can improve on it a lot. Same goes for Persistence.
