But I think the rumour is basically proven fake by a few media outlets on weibo, that the show will not be cut and will broadcast as originally scheduled. That person was probably just being extra careful.

They've been always extra on Political and sensitive issues.

Madonna of Taiwan: A-Mei, performed the National Anthem of Taiwan in 1996 at an event, then China banned her for 10 years.
Don't forget Gaga was also banned before 2013, and I don't think all those "too sexual" scene will ever be allow in China even she's unbanned now.

I wouldn't be surprised if they actually ban them tbh. They've always been ridiculous. But I think a lot of the time the rumours are just speculation and come from self-censorship. Like that rumour about 1989 being banned in China didn't happen at all. So I just hope they wouldn't go that far this time cause this show is kinda of phenomenal now.
