Not you trying to analyse what she's doing with the release. She never cared for singles success and release strategies, especially not this era, you all got confused because Work smashed as hard as it did. But it's not like she planned it, it kind of happened on its own when the video dropped.
She just loves the song, the whole Navy does, she had the video ready for months so all she did was press upload. That's her strategy.
I think it was foolish to release both KIB and Needed Me at the same time.
She should have released Needed Me first and kept KIB for later because i feel like Needed Me is already overshadowing KIB and it's too much of a good song to be ignored

Realtime view isnt quite official and accurate. This is the official count posted by Youtube under the statistics section though. I assume these are the streams under Thursday
It's selling the album and streams are up. She's all over the top 100 streamed songs chart at the moment. Kanye West's "Famous" is getting spins and streams as well. Overall she's doing amazing.
