I'd give The Dark Knight the title of Best Superhero Movie, but DOFP and X2 are literally fantastic comic book movies. First Class is amazing too, and X-Men 1 was obviously a well-made and important comic book movie. X3 was a mess, Origins was and The Wolverine was cute. That's not a bad run of films at all.

Apocalypse could very possibly top them all. Come through!

There are huge posters covering the outside of the cinema in my city unfortunately one of them is that tragic defend poster, but they look amazing blown up massive covering a whole building.

I couldn't believe they had them up so far away from the movie release

Well considering he went to the X-mansion and teamed up with a known X-men (+ name dropped "X-men" a couple of times) I'm hoping so

yeah i'm not really sure whats happening with Gambit.

Gambit was pushed back to start filming late 2016.

Going through rewrite etc.
If they get their ish together it'll come out summer 2017 or fall.

The X-men universe has so many amazing female characters, it would have been great to test the waters with a female solo super hero film instead of another male one. It would have helped them stand out from the crowd.

You tried it but... no. Gambit was a huge presence in the comic books and always was. As was Deadpool. They both had huge personalities in the comics and were considered favorites. On top of that both movies have been in talks with their actors (Tatum and Reynolds) for almost a decade. Plus, since theres been almost no mention of him in the movies... besides X-men origins, they have pretty much a clean slate to make his character.

I won't get excited for Gambit until they announce that Tatum has a scheduling conflict and has to drop out.

It must be nice for JLaw to not be the anchor in terms of filming even if she is for promo. Any other movie she does she's essentially the starpower leader to carry it I'd imagine.

And lbr, if JLaw doesn't return then Mystique goes bye-bye for a while. Mystique could be an amazing villain again if they go down that route with her... so I'm here for JLaw doing it as long as she's willing to blue it up. People do way too much on her Mystique portrayal, though I can see her getting a $10M resigning deal which would be insane for an ensemble movie!

Also I don't get the criticism of her being too much in DOFP. Like, she was so much in the promo and ****, but in the movie it was all Wolverine, then Charles, then about equal Mystique and Magneto. They were the main First Class mutants so it makes sense they have plenty of screentime but JLaw wasn't the main character and I doubt she will be this time.

Her being the leader makes me think Apoc gets to Charles early on in the movie, maybe when he uses Magento to grab him by the wheelchair in the first trailer.

Hmm I hope he doesn't make a Cameo because then it won't make sense in his solo movie if its modern day and lord they don't need any more timeline/age messes.

Honestly, I hate that they're pulling away from the Mystique character just because J-Law is playing her. Like, the sis is supposed to be in full make up most of the time, are they not following the character evolution that they set up themselves?

I'm looking forward to seeing Channing Tatum as Gambit. Never been a huge fan of his but I think he'll fit perfectly as that character.
