Britney and Bey debuted around the same time. It doesn't even make sense what Jessie J said. What the hell does Beyoncé, an African American female from an R&B group, have Britney to thank for? It doesn't even make the tiniest bit of sense. Madonna I agree with. Madonna was revolutionary in pop music, with her pioneering of embracing ones sexuality. She did influence and pave the way for an artist like Beyoncé.

Why did she paint Britney as if she is above Beyoncé? Beyoncé has had just as much impact and certainly had more longevity. I don't know why this has wound me up, but it has.

Exactly. I don't think a lot of people realise just how massive Bey is here. She's always referenced on TV and talent shows. When people are talking about someone acting over-confident, they always say, 'who does she think she is, Beyoncé?'. I can't remember the last time I heard anyone reference Britney on anything.
