The donut thing had NO IMPACT. I'm tired of this god damn ****ing claim. Those people complaining about it NEVER cared about her music in the first place, they were never her fans or just casual listeners.

She's doing fine; the song seems to be stable in the Top 10 and her videos are getting tons of streams. This single isn't the most radio-friendly and even if the donut scandal did damage, it's still super impressive that she's in the Top 10. I mean, Iggy suffered backlash too and she's on her way out of the Top 100 with her single. And thankfully she has the ability to convert naysayers with her voice and talent. I've already seen so many people impressed by her SNL impressions and a capella.

I feel like people are comparing this to the "My Everything" era but that's not really a reasonable comparison. The job of that era was to propel her into the mainstream and make her into a star. She released accessible, easy hit singles like "Problem" and "Break Free" and accomplished her goal. But by firing Scooter, releasing "Dangerous Woman" and the a capella video, I think her personal goal now is to mature as an artist and show off her voice.

But most of all, she's making the best music of her career imo and I can see this coming album being her best. Plus she seems more confident and happy than ever. There's a lot to look forward to. And imo, Ariana has already accomplished so much. Has any other Nickelodeon star ever crossed into the mainstream music world despite their attempts? I never thought she would've gotten this far back during the PYHU, or even the Yours Truly days.

Let's stay positive.

Only people in their 50's and 60's bring it up in the comment section on articles about her nowadays and they are not her demo-graph anyway so.

If Justin Bieber was able to get over 2013-2014 by just putting out radio friendly music, that's all Ariana has to do. Dangerous Woman is flawless anyway and it's doing well on iTunes.

I don't think she's losing streams, the audio, live on snl and a cappella verions are getting around 5M worldwide views per day in total.

I think she's probabaly making 2 versions of the official music video, one long telling a story with Be Alright and one is the short version with only Dangerous Woman and she's thinking to release them seperatedly to make sure her streams will save her ass.

I'm pretty sure this is not gonna be a signature radio hit for her but look at Focus, she really is a streaming monster (Like how could a free-falling single like Focus still could gain like 3M views a day after 5 months? )

The thing is the streams will be both counted. I don't think she would dare to put her streaming power at risk for making long videos like over 7 minutes like I Knew You Were Trouble or Born This Way. She will be sticking her ass to make medium-length videos til the rest of her career because her songs mostly are not radio-friendly or they don't sell really good.

But I mean she confirmed both of Dangerous Woman and Be Alright will have "visuals" and she just teased "Visual 1 coming soon" hmmm

There will probably be 2 versions of the Dangerous Woman video.
