It feels like Halo has only gotten bigger since it was originally a hit.
Like it was a nice sized hit, Top 5 and such. But it's recurrent power every year and lasting impact is as if it was an Uptown Funk! / Happy / Yeah! / Lose Yourself / I Will Always Love You type smash that spent 10+ weeks at #1 and broke records.
I remember thinking so at the time.
