but she can. once she reaches 2382 (with superdelegates) the race might still be going but she will basically be the nominee since 1) she will keep gaining delegates and 2)Bernie wont surpass her lead. Btw im not saying its over. This is hypothetical since we don't know what will happen from now until the convention.

She will be about 250 ahead after today . But I'm just saying the Democratic Party will self destruct like the republicans if she wins on superdelegates and not pledged delegates. HIGHLY unlikely that happens (about as likely as Sanders being the nom at this point) but always possible

Yeah it is, because of the stupid ass proportional rules. But I wasn't talking about a scenario where she's in now, leading in both pledged and supers but using supers to cross the finish line

I was referring to the off chance (however small it may be) of losing the pledged (barely) but winning the nomination by crossing the threshold on supers

If the Republican race ended, then that would help Bernie since more Independents could vote for him in open primaries. The GOP race being as competitive as it is hurts Sanders badly.

On the national level most offices are held by career politicians, but the same is not true on the state level. Most state legislatures for example are part time and don't pay particularly well. Same on the local level.

State level still has a lot career. Most of time they are subject to much media scrutiny, so they're easier to get reelected.
