That's probably one of the reasons, but it's also probably because everyone is being spoon-fed the 'perfect' Caucasian image on a daily basis. We grow up with the mindset that white is perfect, while all the other races are basically ugly. That's why a lot of Asians are so obsessed with whitening their skin and why double eyelid surgery is highly popular in Asia.



But thankfully K-Pop is still very popular here so it kinda balances it out

me and my bf use to celebrate our first kiss day each year too, this year was an exception, me and my bf went to same school but we were just friends for a very long time we don't know exactly when we started to talk like couples with each other but i did recorded the date when we first kissed and i considered it to be kind of anniversary

my longest relationship was 2 years. Eventually it got to the point where we were arguing everyday and then one day he called me psycho and said i would be better off dead and that he never loved me and was only with me because i gave it up on the first date

so i moved to another city a couple weeks after went to college a semester early, change my number and had all my friends write r.i.p on all my social media and went months without updating any of it. I told my mom to not answer his calls or talk to him too. and then i went back to my home town and he cried upon seeing me and said he was so sorry and that he thought i was dead and he told me all of the things that he would do to make the relationship better and i told him to do those things in his next relationship and that even though i wasnt dead, he was dead to me. I left the next day. we havent seen each other since

in my opinion fighting frequently is kinda normal after 1st year, you feel secure enough that your partner won't leave, if you are in relationship for more than 1 year and you can't even fight then it mean you haven't even started yet
