You clearly don't understand. It is the first major error they ran into since they've been testing the new software.
You can't honestly expect every error to be debugged and tested for. It's unrealistic and in this instance, it sounds as if it was just tripped by something else. Especially since it wasn't triggered by anything in the last few days before last night.
