I always said Christina is Paula Abdul 2.0.

Like Paula, Christina jump started her career ripping off a another popgirl's shtick (Janet for Paula and Britney for Xtina).Their debuts even sold around the same in the US. Their follow ups sold around the same too, and Rush Rush was considered risky for her just like Dirrty for Xtina. After those 4 years, they declined and had a mediocre Platinum era and then bombed only to revive their relevance with constant Reality TV seasons.

Most of us only knew Paula because of American Idol, and this newer generation is the same with Xtinct.

Their talents got the same treatment too. Both big talents, but still not enough to cut it to roll with the big guys. Janet isn't seen as MJ/Janet's league in dancing and Xtina isnt seen in Mariah/Whitney and even Beyonce's league.

She confused her audience early on and horribly reinvented herself, contradicted herself by shading girls using sex and then did it herself, lacked originality constantly copying others BUT NOT DOING IT BETTER and her attitude proceeded her. She had the attitude of a legend when she was just at the ledges end.

But like Britney I see her influence and impact on the current girls.
I have to say that Britney and xtina have had more impact on the current girls than a Pink and Beyonce so I wish she came back because EvERY icon deserves at least one comeback.

the way she could have easily given Beyonce a run for the money in the 00s had she not tried to one up and copy Britney so much.

Her music is just not good. Like seriously, who other than the gays is going to get their life from albums like Lotus and Bionic? At least Fatte Shemale and Circumcision can fit in well at clubs/on the radio and make people dance and sing along.

Doesn't help either that she alienated herself from so much of Hollywood. She used to talk **** about practically everyone for quite some time, so when she fell down, no one wanted to help her back up.

She really makes me believe that she bought into the hype that Britney would only last for a few years and then she could just take over.
