I know we always joke about the Netherlands and their ****** submissions but ya'll sleeping on this song, that became 4th in 1998. But then again some of you weren't born yet I suppose
The Netherlands have a history of great entries. Hemel en aarde, One Good Reason, No Goodbyes and more recently Ik ben verliefd, Walk Along, Slow Down and Calm After the Storm. They only flop bc they don't get migrant or neighbor votes lbr.
If "Help You Fly", the Belarusian song, had represented Russia, and "You Are the Only One" had been Belarus, we still would have Russia 1st in the betting odds and Belarus 35th. Those two songs are on the same level, they just represent countries of a different level according to the Eurovision fans. Just because it's Russia, a song is automatically better
