While I like Bernie's plan more on education, you are wrong.
Just look at 100+ years ago when only a small minority of Americans ever graduated from high school. Back then almost no jobs required a high school diploma, let alone a college degree. Then as high school became standard for everyone, pretty much every well paying job required at least some education.
Then in the 1950's the G.I. bill transformed college ed and the percentage of Americans with a degree went from fewer than 5% to over 30%, and suddenly jobs from teachers to accountants that had previously not required degrees, did.
It is common sense that if we double the number of college grads, many more jobs will require degrees, and many will also require post graduate degrees.
Still, I think it is worth doing.
