"Riot" was alright, I think it'll grow on me a biT. "Skylar Diggins" is so ****ing good ugh, A BOP. With "Used to Being Alone" I liked the addition of the new instruments, but I prefer the unmastered / unfiltered vocals on the demo she posted. If someone mixed those vocals with the new instrumental that'd be a DREAM.
Overall this mixtape was a very solid project. I really admire the fact that she took the time to experiment with lots of different sounds, flows, and lyrical approaches. I'm sure she'll serve more 1991 / BWET-esque tracks on B&P, as she'll obviously be saving the good **** for the next studio album, but for a mixtape, this is great. I think most people are just so underwhelmed with this project because she's set such a ****ing high standard for herself that barely any artist today has met. I'm so happy with SLAY-Z, and I can't wait to be giving my coins to talent once again!
