I see your point. Artists like Selena, Britney, Heidi Montag, etc are good for fun pop bops, but I have more respect for artists that have more to offer at the end of the day.

Nicki has made some cookie cutter ass pop music, but at the end of the day she's still a top rapper and lyricist. Kesha branded drunk party girl music, but even she actually has talent as a singer and song writer.

But Selena and Britney both have multiple ballads. It's another case of the book and the cover. Their singles are fun bops but they're album tracks are more varied, a Nicki tea.

Every time is the only Britney ballad I use. And Britney was at least unique for her time.

Selena would be nothing without producers and songwriters. She adds nothing to her songs and offers no originality.
