lmao @ David Archuleta's Christmas album. Chris Brown's Graffiti is growing on me and I only like some songs from Fantasy Ride. That doesn't make your list any lower though, still great stuff. Can't wait for the top 5 album.

Roy's Best of 2oo9 | Chapter 2: Thiz Albums Are $#!+ (5-1)
Thiz Albums are $#!+ (10-6)
Finally, the moment you are all been waiting for! Who is #1? Who are on the top 5? Who snatched some wigs this year? Which artist will Archuleta give the crown for the Album Of The Year? Which album deserves more on Grammys than Black Eyed Peas? Too excited, chile? FInd out!
 | 5 . Keri Hilson - In A Perfect World...
Favorite Tracks: Knock You Down, Alienated, Energy, How Does It Feel, Make Love, Get Your Money Up
Save It On Recycle Bin: Tell Him The Truth. But if you're just a listener, Slow Dance will bore you.
Billboard 200 Peak Position: 4
|
Last year, everyone, including me, are laughing when we hear Keri Hilson on music discussions. We often call her the next Nicole Scherzinger, but who has the last laugh now? Grammy nominated for Best New Artist, Keri Hilson come to our music world and shares her world, In A Perfect World. We all know that Energy is one of her classics, but unfortunately, it flopped so bad. Return The Favor is the second single and I was wonderin' why this? The song has a flop potential. Finally, Turnin' Me On with Lil' Wayne became a hit. I hate that song when I first listen to it. It sounds like Keri's voice is so different. And of course, it's famous for the misheard lyrics "Miss Keri Baby" which is thought to be "miscarried baby" But the song really grew on me and it's one of my favorite pop hood song ever. Knock You Down with Kanye West and Neyo is obviously the best song on the album. I don't know why people says that some people love it because it's a big hit but no. When the album leaked, this is my first love. I also knew that she is going to release and it's a very smart move. I really can't believe it that Slow Dance will end the era so soon. I swear if she released Get Your Money Up with Keyshia Cole and Trina, this will be the new "We love rich boys" anthem. Alienated is my third favorite in the album. It sounds so relaxing it has a catchy chorus, Can't get out of my system, my system. Where did he go? Im searchin' for you. Make Love is a sweet song. She proves that she has a beautiful voice. Change Me is also a very good song. I love how Miss Keri puts her emotion. The track will be better if Akon's part will be removed. Akon screaming is so annoying. Everybody wowed at her because she got 2 hits and her album sold 500,000 copies. She is now on her work for the second album. She is also now nominated for Best New Artist on Grammys. I know it's impossible to her to win the nod but congrats Keri. You are finally gettin recognition and you are now not known as the girl on The Way I Are.
 | 4. The Fray - The Fray
Favorite Tracks: Never Say Never, Syndicate, Say When, Where The Story Ends, Enough For Now, Absolute
Save It On Recycle Bin: Ungodly Hour, Fair Fight
Billboard 200 Peak Position: 1
|
Grammy nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, The Fray is now #4 with their self-titled album. I know this album is getting negative reviews and they say that this sounds like their How To Save A Life album but this is really good IMO. Their first singe, You Found Me stucked on my head for a couple of weeks. The lead singer's emotion is on this song. The lyrics are also somehow a tear jerker. The video is also interesting especially when the people are floating. Never Say Never, their second single is a their best song ever. Even better than How To Save A Life. This really makes me wanna cry because the emotions are all over it. I also play this song whenever I'm depressed. It is also stuck in my head for a long time. I almost memorize the lyrics too. The video is also emotional especially in the end. Too bad it didn't match the same success of You Found Me. Syndicate should be the 3rd single if they are not giving up this album. The song is really nice and its a hit material. Say When is like the You Found Me part dos. Ungodly Hour can be recommended for those who have insomnia. I can't comment in other songs because they sounds the same but I don't care. As long my ears like it, I like it. This album maybe didn't match the success of their debut album but this album really rocks for me. I am so happy that I purchased the CD with the DVD of making of the album. For those who loves the nature and some scenes in the city, I would recommend this CD for you because the booklets are so beautiful.
 | 3. Lady GaGa - The Fame Monster
Favorite Tracks: Telephone, Alejandro, Monster, So Happy I Could Die
Save It On Recycle Bin: Teeth
Billboard 200 Peak Position: 3
|
Grammy nominated for Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Best Electronic Album, and Best Dance Record, Lady GaGa is now #3 for her 2nd album, The Fame Monster. This is probably the ATRL's most anticipated album. According to the future queen of pop, it is originally planned as the re-release of her debut album, The Fame, but she doesn't want her fans to rebuy the her album. The album starts with her first track, Bad Romance. I don't really get the hype of it. For me, it's like a rip-off of Poker Face. I also only like the chorus. For me,it was a letdown because I really like the demo version of it. However, the epic video helps me to love it. The second track, Don't Call My Name (Alejandro), is a fun, nonsense song. The chorus is also catchy,Don't call my name, don't call my name Alejandro. This should be the 3rd single. Monster is a cute song with a line, He ate my heart, that is catchy getting some attention. Dance In The Dark has the 80's,90's, and 00's vibe. However, I think there is something lacking on it. My favorite track, is Telephone with the RnB superstar, Beyonce. It's not Beyonce why I love this track. The catchiness of it makes me love the song. I also love it because it's a perfect song to dance on the dancefloor. The song is about how are you annoyed when you are having fun while your love one is calling you and interrupting the time you are having fun. So Happy I Could Die is a lovely track. The chorus is so infectious. Speechless, is maybe the stans' favorite song but I don't get the hype. She sounds like a retarted drunk singing ballad. Teeth is the most annoying and disgusting track in the album. Why the **** did GaGa recorded this? It can be on my top 2 but as everybody says, it's just an EP. I want more tracks, 2009 is really a very good year for GaGa. More success to you.
 | 2. Kelly Clarkson - All I Ever Wanted
Favorite Tracks: Already Gone, Don't Let Me Stop You, Impossible, Cry, Long Shot, My Life Would Suck Without You, I Do Not Hookup, If No One Will Listen
Save It On Recycle Bin: whyyawannabringmedown, Ready
Billboard 200 Peak Position: 1
|
Did she get all she ever wanted? I don't know but I'm sure her fans got all they ever wanted. After a depressing My December now comes some fun pop rock album, All I Ever Wanted. Grammy nominated for Best Pop Album, and the original American Idol Kelly Clarkson is here again!Starting with her first track and single My Life Would Suck Without You, I can say that this is her most successful single, breaking some records. The song is about a dysfunctional in a relationship. The video is also fun with a sweet ending. The second track, I Do Not Hookup, is a fun track. I don't know why many people hate it but for me it's a good track. The chorus is also infectious. The video is a fun video just like My Life... . I kinda laugh at it especially when she trip over. From the fun songs and videos, here comes the most contreversial track in the album, Already Gone, which is produced by Ryan Tedder and said that Beyonce steal the song. However, I think this is much better than Already Gone. The video is kinda disappointing because it's so boring and Joseph Kahn don't want to release the director's cut. About the tracks, Don't Let Me Stop You is my second favorite track on the album. The song can be an anthem for those girls whose their boyfriend break up with them. Cry is an emotional track. It's too depressing for me. Kelly really put all of her emotions in this song. Long Shot is like opera meets Kelly because the start sounds like a music from opera and then rocker Kelly comes out. Impossible is a depressing but for me, also uplifting song. I dunno why :! If I Can't Have You is maybe everyone's favorite but for me, it's a ok generic song. I will be annoyed if this become overrated. and lastly, If No One Will Listen shows how good she is in vocal skill. You know, I was thinking hard which album should be #1. If this or the #1 right now? Both are so good. I really hope she wins the Best Pop Vocal Album because is the nominees, she's the best.[/font]
 | 1. Paramore - Brand New Eyes
Favorite Tracks: Careful, Ignorance, Playing God, Brick By Boring Brick, Turn It Off...
Save It On Recycle Bin: None
Billboard 200 Peak Position: 2
|
Are you surprised? I bet eteru is not. Yes, my album of the year is Brand New Eyes by the Grammy nominated for Best Song From A Motion Soundtrack, Paramore. If I have my 2007 list, their previous album, RIOT!, could easily snatch the top spot. I've been a fan of them since Misery Business so there is no surprise for me that I love this album. The album starts off with a rocking addicting song, Careful. It really rocks and a single-worthy song. the song is about trying to hide a secret. Ignorance is probably one of our student's body's national anthem. Who wouldn't love the line Ignorance is your new bestfriend. The video also is very good and I love the room part. Playing God is my second favorite track in the album. When you listen to the first second lines, you know that it will be a very very very very good track. I bet you remember the "I'll point you to the mirror".I almost memorized the lyrics. My favorite track in the album Brick By Boring Brick is currently one of my jams right now. When it first leaked, I really love it because the content of it is so good and the song is just pure excellent. The video is also one of the best video of the decade. Turn It Off is just a perfect track and it screams a hit. The Only Exception is like the When It Rains of this album. I really love the message of it and it really sounds so relaxing. Misguided Ghost is one of her best acoustic song ever. All I Wanted is one very good track. The critics really praise that song and guess what? MTV puts that song on their "Top 10 songs of 2009". I think I'll be playing this on New Years Eve.
That's it folks. I hope you enjoy Chapter 2. Chapter 3 starts tomorrow. Starting from number 100 to number 70. Good night!
