I don't understand when people say "I've never said that word/name out loud" when asked how they pronounce something. like do you not say it in your head when you read it? do you just skip over it completely when you see it in print? what does that even mean

You know actually when I see a word I don't know like say "Givenchy" I never really pronounced that in my head at all.
