Free college sounds good on paper, but should our tax dollars really be paying for some purple-haired Tumblr otherkin who triple majors in Anthropology-Gender Studies-Basket Weaving and then works at Starbucks? How is that going to benefit the economy and create jobs? Free or subsidized college should only go towards career or tech programs.

More jobs and incentives should be made for those who choose not to go to college. College was not made to be mandatory and that it has become so has been extremely damaging. I think Hillary is the only one who has really talked in-depth about this but maybe Bernie has too.

I always thought a good way to fix inner city problems is to give tax incentives to businesses who give internships/apprenticeships to inner city youth and promise them full-time employment with benefits after they graduate high school. This will create wealth in urban communities and break the school-prison pipeline.

I think people need to be encouraged to go to vocational school if they aren't academically bound. We need people studying to be electricians, mechanics, plumbers etc rather than just go work at fast food places after high school. I know Germany and Finland do a great job with that.

The reason these things work in Euro is because they have tiny populations. America has over 300 million people. Free college for all sounds great, but it would be a mess. Europe balances out free education by making it harder to get into college or university in the first place. For us, it is basically a walk It is hard to find a dorm or get enrolled into the classes you need as it is. Imagine if it was frih.
