Agreed! I love Jessica Lange and all of her characters S1-4 were amazing, but if she were to return it'd be really refreshing if she played a different type of role.

I hope for S6 they really take it back to basics. Hotel was great, but visually it felt a little too superficial, and some of the costume designs for the likes of The Countess were just ridiculous. I know it's only a TV show but that's why I loved about the previous seasons, they felt so real at times, where as Hotel was too campy/theatrical.

except for hotel, which was announced on 25th february, because they thought it was slick cuz the 25th february was somewhat an important date in the season. (mr marchs death)
and asylum, which was like way later.

I don't mind if Jessica isn't back. As said, for four seasons she played the same character, and in every season there was always a character more likeable than her. It's more interesting seeing people like Angela, Kathy, Sarah, Evan and Denis evolve into a new type each season. And while I enjoyed Gaga last season, Ryan did just mould her into the female "arc" that Jessica would have filled. I hope for S6 Ryan scraps that mantra and gives her a more diverse character.

I'd happily see a male "lead" the season too. Denis practically dominated Hotel anyway, so to have him be the centre point of a season would be cool, presuming he got a good character again. Like, I know we're not going to have a character like Stanley or Spalding being the main point of a season.

Coven was actually the only season with the theme and
Title announced at Paleyfest. I expect a tweet from Ryan today or tomorrow revealing the title.
