They didn't stand a chance and SM probably just killed the hype Red Velvet built up in 2015

It's a shame tho, the song is usable and I really like Last Time, but yeah the whole release was a rushed mess. Idk roll on #RedVelvet2ndComeback2016 I guess, it can't be any worse than this.

Naw it's just terrible timing, as well as nothing songs like Dumb Dumb had going for them (catchiness/appeal).
I mean, the Melon competition:

• 5 OSTs from a near-30% rating drama, aka walls
• MAMAMOO who are coming off a Gaon#1 and are still winning shows w/massive streaming
• Lee Hi who has the YG fanboys giving her career life
• Gfriend who are coming off of two weeks at #1, 15 music show wins, a 70 hour PAK - literally the biggest single of the year so far
• MC the Max with his 7(?) week old single that's also essentially a wall

It's... tough. This is all before their 7 place drop just now, taking them down to #20 on Melon. People just really don't like the song, I guess. It's understandable given what it sounds like.
