Releasing album on Tidal is really no different than uploading it on Pirate Bay. The only small difference is that Jay Z asks you to leave him your email before you download the content for free. In that way, Jay Z is no different than Pirate Bay. He's promoting piracy, just like The Pirate Bay does. But Beyonce will throw logic out the window in favor of her husband and you all will have to deal.

What did Tidal accomplish by keeping Rihanna and Kanye albums on their service? What did Kanye and Rihanna accomplish by giving their albums to Tidal? The membership was free, so they got a thousand new users that will cancel their membership in a month or two. Where is the profit?
