It's rise on Spotify US is very comparable to the rise of Stressed Out. Both took 6 weeks from the first week over 2 million to the first week over 5 million (if 7 Years gets there this week, which seems likely).
Uptown Funk is one of the biggest hits of all time and See You Again got that many weeks at #1, cause it got the first half with very strong initial sales and streams and the 2nd half with fairly weak sales, but strong radio and still good streams.
Yes 7 Years can go #1, but not for that long. If it's a 10 weeks #1 it should be #1 by now or very soon at least and that's not happening.
