Ok, this is the introductory track to The Velvet Rope so it has to set the mood, set the theme and all that. And to it's credit it does that, but for someone who doesn't like the whole package I'm mixed on this too. Let's just say it, Vanessa Mae's violin solo is epic, truly the highlight and one of the album's best moments too. The rest is ok, I like the instrumental a good bit but the track itself feels a little laboured to me. I think it's ok, probably my least favourite song in the Top 10 but since all of you like it let's hear your thoughts.
rockwitu08 is also a Vanessa stan, "That electric violin solo literally made me scream the first time I heard it" and so is
Vilppu, "The violin solo in the bridge is life."
Auburn thinks it's "absolute perfection! The 'Tubular Bells' sample is just perfect!"
Not as much acclaim as #4 should imply,
ECNEICSNOC is a known detractor of this, "I get that it perfectly summarizes the whole album, but it's extremely overrated by stans. The EPIC violin solo at the end kinda saves it."
HonourableVomit will be happy it didn't win, "The most obvious rate winner for ATRL: A site full of pseudo artistic pretenders that love thinking they're special. That said, Vanessa-Mae slays."
In summary? Vanessa Mae > Janet.
