Nah Dark Horse was still slaying and its callouts weren't even that impressive, didn't it peak at #7 on pop radio? A better video could have helped it sure but it was never gonna be a big smash.

Birthday pretty much sucked in every aspect. Average radio performance, poor sales, poor streams (both on VEVO and Spotify). The GP just weren't here for it, music video aside. Good videos can help bad songs do better though, so I'm not denying that it could have done better with a better video.

I feel that Katy is completely uninspired at the moment and won't release new music this year...a mess. A 2017 release would be a disaster.
