Even though technically he's just doing his job and Annaliese isn't innocent, this show makes you root for the bad guys instead of the police seeking justice

Yeah, this episode was a definite improvement. But I still don't understand how Philip is involved with everything, who he really is, and why Wes' mother killed herself. Also, it'd be great if we get more Connor, Michaela, Asher, and Bonnie soon. The past few weeks have been all about Anna, Wes, Laurel, and Frank. Connor/Michaela is my favorite low-key relationship of the whole show. I love how they started as rivals but are now obviously best friends, even if neither of them will admit it.

Yeah, figures. Good! I'm not sure that this will get a fourth season, though. Next season they need really to revamp the entire plotline and possibly even the setting. Delete Frank, revamp Bonnie, develop Asher more, subdue Wes, maybe have Connor/Michaela transfer somewhere, but their past quickly follows them. Focus on the interpersonal relationships more, of course with the drama and mystery still there, but with more humanized characters. I'm also ready for a less cold-blooded portrayal of Anna, especially now that we saw her (mildly) innocent ties to Wes from the past and her healed relationship with Nathan.
