Let me tell you something.
I've always liked Kelly and her old songs are some of my favorites, but i haven't really checked on her for quite some time. I didn't even know about this song but I saw so many threads about the Idol performance so I thought of checking it out.
As the song went, I was trying to figure out the lyrics. I thought it was just another break up song, or about a guy in a negative way. But then when i realize this was about her father abandoning her, how the verses talk about the scars that he left, and the choruses talk about the guy she found who restored all that. just WOW. When she broke down, i broke down with her. Without knowing her personally, without knowing what she's been through. I felt it. I swear to God, it's so ****ing weird. The way she told that story. I don't cry often, actually i don't even remember the last time i cried. But this destroyed me.
I'm blown away by Kelly, seriously. She deserves all the success and all the happiness in the world. Such a phenomenal artists and vocalist.
