I hated her for butchering DH's visuals but at the same time she's never been able to convincingly pull off dark visuals.

The PoM mini era was tragic in terms of visuals.

Wide Awake had dark visuals for the majority of it and they were done exceptionally well, in my opinion.

That is kind of the outlier though. Uncle was good too (dark / serious with the car crash scene).
