You can already build a working Cinema with Movie Hangout Stuff, and it works exactly like the Non-Rabbit Hole Cinema in The Sims 3 on the Sims 3 store, except better because Sims watch an actual movie and react to it, rather than just watch TV
Dude, Sims 4 had Late Night venue's in the base game Minus the useless Rabbit Holes, that's more than what Sims 3 had.

I don't put my money into every ridiculous stuff pack EA releases I didn't even know about "movie hangout stuff"? Mess
I'll only purchase something EA related after Lazy Game's funny reviews of them, that way I get to see what's included & if it's worth my money/time.
Nothing about TS4 base, or even EPs, is better than TS3 When the base game for TS3 came out I was entertained for hours upon hours because it was actually new. Even though it had a ton of bugs it was still fun. Open world and CAST were refreshing concepts that took game exploration to a new level.
There's likely hope for TS4. By the game's run it is possible the game will run as a playable sims game. I am pretty much ready to see what they'll do for TS5. In the meantime I've been re-downloading TS3 and its EPs. TS3 has probably the best groundwork the franchise ever had, but it could be 10x better. The fact is that we are nearing 2020 and I expected a fourth or fifth Sims game to be ahead of the curve. ARTPOP era indeed.

Lol, you can think that. 80% of the base game for Sims 3 was literally copied and pasted from the Sims 2. Animations, objects, gameplay. It wasn't "actually new" it was just more expanded than Sims 2. The reason why it had a ton of bugs is the sims 2 and 3 run on almost the same engine. Rather than build a whole new engine for 3, they just pushed the Sims 2 engine to the limit.
They did the same with the console game for 3, they just used the Sims 2 console game and reworked it to play as an open world.
The majority of the Sims 3 was EA reusing ideas from Sims 1, 2 and the console games in an Open World environment. It was EA's cash cow. that doesn't make it bad, but everything that was new ideas and concepts that were added to 3 was 9/10 badly executed to what it should have been.
Island Paradise was mostly compied from the console games, (literally down to the houseboats, ladders, life guards etc). I think it was Sims 3 Wii. Into The Future was awful. WA was just an open world Bon Voyage. I could go on. The only EP that had a new idea and paid it off was Ambitions.
The main complaint with Sims 4 isn't that the game itself is "bad" people just want the same stuff recycled for the 2nd, 3rd or 4th time, when EA are trying new things while bringing very little back. And the stuff that hasn't returned (everyone calls it "missing features") is what people are holding on to.
That's a fair enough complaint, but I'm happy playing a game that mostly features new content.

The main complaint is that TS4 is missing core features of game play and that it has not brought anything new to the table in game play. We already had emotions and we already had loading screens. Yes, Sims can now text while taking a ****, and that would be fun if it mattered in the grand scheme of things, but it doesn't. TS4 is not 'new.' When TS3 came out, we were introduced to an open world, CAST, and a more 'in depth' look into careers. Gone were the days where your sims would vanish off the lot and you'd have little control over their careers. TS2 introduced...well I don't need even need to explain. TS4 will not be seen as a revolutionary, or brand new, component to the sims franchise
Some of the ideas have already been used (Business Owner, Active Careers, Health and Wellness) and they just seem to be picking from those, based on what was popular.
They were sent out in early and late 2015.
There's already been a rumor that Restaurants are coming, and they are featured in Town Life so there is hope.
These were official surveys by EA sent to the players who have played the most in-game to decide give feedback to what happens next
omg fame and fortune needs to be the next EP
here 4 city living too

Those stating that the Sims 4 brought nothing to the table, are being too distracted by what's missing from previous games.
Both Get To Work and Get Together are brand new EP concepts and gameplay (minus Retail making a return). The base game featured a lot of different gameplay concepts that we hadn't seen before.
Of course the Sims 4 won't be seen as revolutionary. People are too blindsided to realize all the things it's doing great, because what came in the Sims 2 and 3 base, isn't here now. I mean people are happy to call TS3 revolutionary, when all it is, is the Sims 2 lazily reworked into Open World. With CASt that again wasn't programmed properly (it was on console though).
The Sims 3 on PS3/360 wasn't even Open World when the Wii was, because they couldn't push the Sims 2 PC engine to work on the consoles specs without it running terribly. Yet they could on Wii because the Sims 2 console engine was more flexible since more work went into with Sims 2 Castaway having large areas to roam.
It just goes to show how badly the Sims 2 was reworked into 3.
If the Sims 4 came out after the Sims 2, it would have been critically acclaimed. If the Sims 3 then came out after 4, it would have been dragged. People give the Sims 3 way to much credit because the idea of it is "awesome" when in reality it plays terribly and there's barely anything that it does, that wasn't done before. People just love the Open World!!!!111 concept and run with it.
That said if they had built a new engine for Sims 3, I could imagine it blowing Sims 4 out of the water. But they didn't.
Can they release a new EP already, or at least announce it, I mean it doesn't come for months after an announcement, I'm more interested in expansion packs than useless stuff packs, I mean really the stuff packs add 1/2 new gameplay items, the rest technically could just be installed through cc.
My only complaint with the Sims 4 at this point, is that they're milking it for the money rather then trying give the fans new and exciting gameplay. What idiots actually waste their money on the stuff packs, I hope there sales drop simply so they realize what people really want is expansion packs, not this trash.

Disagree.
We've had 4 DLC's since this time last year and the majority of all of them don't have things that we had previously.
And what's the issue with Stuff Packs. You don't have to get them all, you get the ones that are your style. For example, no CC maker made any content we got in the last 3 stuff packs. Cook Kitchen could have had a lot of it be CC but the CAS was really good.
I mean there's no difference to buying a Stuff Pack than those store sets in The Sims 3 which cost double what Stuff Packs do for half the content.

To answer you question, a "Bundle" was announced recently for the end of March to contain Stuff Pack 5 & 6 and Game Pack 3. So once Game Pack 3 comes out next month, there will be an announcement for Expansion 3. Then two Stuff Packs, and then it releases.
Also, it helps to realise the Stuff Pack team, Game Pack team, and Expansion Team are all different teams. Most of the stuff packs are done externally so it barely takes up any development time for EA, so it's not taking up time that could be spent on EP's or Game Packs.
I just wish they would stop releasing them, and release expansion packs, because that's what I want, and I think the majority of fans?
Yeah, but think of it this way.
Even if they weren't working on Stuff Packs, we still wouldn't be getting any more Game Packs and EP's than we have now.
The Stuff Packs are made by artists outside of EA, and EA literally pay them and sell them.
We wouldn't be getting Game Packs or Expansions Packs any quicker with or without stuff packs.
So they may as well go all out, than not do anything and have a 6 month gap between content.
I'm thinking of getting Spooky Stuff or Outdoor Retreat, any recommendations?
Outdoor Retreat is great if you love making Cabins, Campsites and going on Vacation but Spa Day if you LOVE modern and want to build.
Spooky Stuff is great for throwing costume parties with good food too, but it's not worth $10 for me. Wait for a sale when it goes down to $7.
