Lauren not being on ANOTHER god damn single would be ****ing ridiculous...so I completely expect it to happen. And I'm not here for it.

That article didn't contain false info, cause the references to the album and how it's gonna be an instant grat are the same I've got. We'll see, I may have been told lies too lol

I don't think it's an instant grat. This is a definitely the lead.

It's the lead, but it's gonna be released as an instant grat (in the way itself. You get the track if you preorder or you can buy it separately). It's the lead for USA.

The album sales are more important in the long run....and if the song is as good as everyone says, then hopefully it won't matter.

As far as I can figure out from all the info, it's still gonna be released as the first song off the album you get by pre-ordering. It's the lead, of course. We'll have to wait and see if either they put a single AND the album version on iTunes or just the song as part of the album.
I'm convinced Lauren will be heard on the track, but at the same time would Fuse lie? I mean, they were at the party I think, so they might as well just not familiar with the voices (even tho, since they appareantly saw the video they should have seen who's singing and who's not). SNIPPET PLEASE

If the single is available when you pre-order the album, it'll count for Billboard. What won't count is all the other songs charting when you complete the album. So no 4 album tracks debuting on the hot 100 due to instant grat sales unless they were purchased individually.

Why would we believe a fan account on Twitter over Fuse? The info has to be true. I'm sure they deleted it because they weren't suppose to post it.
Anyway, where did we get the info that it's an instant grat track?

I used to believe this but not anymore. I mean, who's even selling albums these days? Adele? Bieber? Taylor? Those are like the biggest stars in the world. The rest can settle for a 1 million seller at best. Plus, with these new streaming rule I'd much rather have hit singles, which will eventually help the album too. I mean, if their first single is a hit song that's all over the world, I'm sure that'll push the album sales anyway. So I don't see the point in it being an instant grat track. Unless they're releasing another song right away which can serve as the actual single. But I don't think that can happen, and I don't think it should happen neither tbh.

The way I see it, this strategy is not fully helping the album and it's not fully helping the single. A better strategy would've been, releasing the single alone and then, if they really shot two videos, release that other one as a instant grat track. If it's a good song/video I'm sure many people would purchase it. Besides, if the album's really coming out in May, that's a hell of a long time for it to be on pre-order and gives them many chances and ways for them to promote it and have people pre-order it than to just give out the first single.
Ugh Idk, maybe I can't see how this would work. I hope it's just me.

this. omg just read the rules everyone. or see other artists releases
instant tracks COUNT toward single sales, but not when you use complete my album that's all
with your logic, Gwen Stefani could never debuted inside Hot 100 this week because MMLY is an instant grant track too and her pre-order # is close to the song sales

But if you pre-order the album without having already downloaded the single first, the single downloads automatically as if it's an instant grat, and therefore it won't count. That's why the fanbase needs to buy the single first and then pre-order the album afterwards.

This guys. It's been like that for a while. That's what worries me.
Also, this track will be eligible to chart in the UK cause it's the first instant grat. Others won't count, and well ... that makes it a problem.

Why? Is a different UK single confirmed?

I think the rule changed a couple months ago. I remember an article saying that chartmakers wanted to avoid inflated entries on the BB due to the previous amount of pre-orders for the album (e.g. Worth It being top 5 by release time because of the 20-25k pre-orders). That's why they started counting separated sales, it was something implemented in 2015. That's why OOTW by Tay managed to snatch the #19 peak.

I cannot believe Lauren didn't get a solo
At least she's front and center in the video.
