If he doesn't fight the allegations people will believe that he raped Kesha. They are doing so right now! If he's innocent, he has no choice but to defend himself in a court of law.

Another reason is that he works with a lot of women, if he doesn't fight these allegations, anyone could try to get out of a contract by claiming he abused them.

Depending on the date of the deposition saying he wanted an abortion I can see if it actually went through or not. And considering in the deposition the mom is stated as his wife but she is now his girlfriend, something had to have happened. They most likely got a divorce but who knows what the reason behind it is?

If we could find out any info about his family this deposition photo could tell us a lot. It could either be more strong support for Kesha's statement, or, sadly, it'd be strong support that she's lying.

I need more evidence before I can make a decision tbh. I feel for Kesha and I hope things work out for her, but at the same time in a court of law someone is innocent until proven guilty, and if Dr. Luke isn't guilty then the other side to all this is a person's reputation being tarnished/witch hunted.

I feel sad for both parties involved. Hopefully the truth will come out and appropriate action will be taken against whoever is in the wrong.

Luke is an insanely successful super-producer who has dominated the music industry for years. Many people would give it all, and could only wish, to work with a man of such great calibre. But Kesha is clearly desperately trying to legally escape her legal ties with him - it's been many years and she is still fighting since the fiasco became evident yet she is still fighting. The photos of Kesha sobbing in court - the girl is clearly disturbed by the outcome of the legal case and it would make sense that this would be due to a massive injustice. Kesha's desperation demonstrates that she doesn't care about the hits, the money, the rewards this opportunity could spawn... there clearly is a reason greater than all the aforementioned rewards as to why Kesha wants, or perhaps needs, to escape.

I do not believe Kesha is lying. Her passion for this entire thing is too substantial.

edit: Kesha even went to rehab for to weeks, then stayed there for another two weeks because she wasn't prepared enough to leave, for God's sake.

We always seem to present things as “innocent until proven guilty” vs “believe the victim”, but that’s really a false dichotomy. I have no problem with our judicial system setting a high bar for conviction, even in cases of rape/sexual assault. What I have issue with is that so few reports are even taken seriously (rape kits left untested, officers brushing off or immediately disbelieving claims, etc.).

Juries should be skeptical; it’s the foundation of our justice system. Officers do not need to have that same skepticism. Hospital workers do not need to have that same skepticism. Counselors do not need to have that same skepticism. Context is everything!

As I said in the beginning of this whole thing, we don't have proof beyond reasonable doubt that he raped her. They are the only people that will know the truth. I know that it's natural for people to side with the alleged victim in cases like this, but he also deserve the benefit of the doubt. We just can't point fingers and say who's telling the truth.

I DO think however, that Luke & Sony should release her from the contract. It's just beyond pointless at this point to keep fighting over this.

Exactly. Rape victims barely have any prove of being rape and sometimes don't even know if they were. Bill Cosby case is an example.
