makes sense since i've been posting in this base since it was created
You were #1 last time I checked, idk when Sam came in and snatched. I peaked at #3 before my super long requested ban but I've probably posted in here 10-20 times since then
Name me one Katy song that doesn't have a simile, metaphor or pun
Probably one of my favourite things about her writing style. It's like her signature
Her songwriting is so vivid and colorful and individualistic. I mean she could do without the cliches but it's a hell of a lot more interesting and original than Regina's generic breakup songs
This was never the way I planned, not my intention.
I got so brave, drink in hand, lost my discretion
It's not what I'm used to, just wanna try you on.
I'm curious for you, caught my attention.
these are pretty good lyrics dear old katy please call back!
Why you trying to make me your enemy
All I really need is a little peace
I just wanna be your lover
Oh, this is not a competition
So baby why the ammunition
I don't wanna be the last one standing
I leave the gas on
Walk the alleys in the dark
Sleep with candles burning
I leave the door unlocked
I'm weaving a rope and
Running all the red lights
Did I get your attention
'Cause I'm sending
All the signs that
The clock is ticking
And I'll be giving
My two weeks
woo the days of having less than 4 cowriters in one song i miss those days
I leave the gas on
Walk the alleys in the dark
Sleep with candles burning
I leave the door unlocked
I'm weaving a rope and
Running all the red lights
Did I get your attention
'Cause I'm sending
All the signs that
The clock is ticking
And I'll be giving
My two weeks
woo the days of having less than 4 cowriters in one song i miss those days
Those lyrics are so Katy
That whole song. No one else would write a song like that, for better or for worse. The production and verses are a bit odd but the chorus slays
