It's not only Selena doing this. Other artists have plots in their music videos, Taylor (Blank Space, Bad Blood, Wildest Dreams) Katy with basically the whole Teenage Dream era and it worked for them.

Yeah, but they are fun and "tell" the song, Selena's new ones are very serious and movie-like. I know THWWIW also has a serious plot and it worked very well. But I feel like SOL and HTM plots are a bit disconnected with the songs.

I don't think her "actress side" has anything to do with that. I think she doesn't likes to do choreo. I'm not a stan so I'm not sure but I haven't seen her perform with choreo during this era so maybe that has something to do with it.

Maybe. Nonetheless when I just listen to Blank Space and Roar for example, which have plots and no choreo too, I can remember almost every part of their videos, because song & video are so connected! This is not happening with Sel's last two videos.

You're 100% right, I think they're scrapping Europe (except UK and France), I don't know what Interscope is doing, I'm so sick how they're handling the situation WW, Revival is doing OK in the US, a little bit better than Stars Dance (even tho SD had 2 singles way les succesful than Revival's and we're now on the 3rd and it still has like 60K to pass SD) but WW Revival is doing more than bad, I mean at this time SD was already gold in Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela and other countries and it was higher in the rest of the countries, they need to do something promo tour or whatever to promote the album.
I'm so happy she's slaying single-wise in the US but this era is being a little bit boring, the SD era was short but instense there were interviews and promo almost every week now we have to pray to have some kind of promo and Selena is not even active on the social networks (only some pictures on IG), she didn't even post about We Don't Talk Anymore when it was released.. kind of rude tbh, she needs to let her manager get into her account, SelenaFanClub is way more active than hers.

This is so not true. Revival crossed the 600k WW mark in 4 months, it took Stars Dance more than 6 months.

Pretty much. And all HWR does is pay for Worthless certifications. And discounts.
And Selena doesnt like to do promo, be in the spotlight or be in everyone's faces... she wont Ever do that. Accept it.
And her new promo is much better & also working MUCH better. She doest it whenever needed. The tour itself will help WW numbers - that r just fine. She'll do WW promo while on the tour.
And HTM promo will come when it has the chance to actually re-peak. Now its pointless. Especially since its doing amazing with NO push.
Just went #11 on iTunes, about to go back to the Top 10 easily.
Also slaying streaming - She is about to get yet Another song with 100M streams on Spotify. 2 Million to go, most likely already 100M while Im writing this.
Also slaying radio at #8. While SOL being played.

Really nothing to complain about.
