Let's get this countdown started.
100. Beyoncé - Halo

Simplicity and elegance at its best here. Despite the Ryan Tedder controversy, both "Halo" and "Already Gone" find there way onto my countdown, and both songs are beautiful and special in their own special way. I'm not a huge Beyoncé fan at all, but I still enjoyed this song very much.
99. Kelly Clarkson - Already Gone (Live @ Nova)

Just as I said, they both made it onto the countdown, but this is the only live track on the top 100! Congratulations, Kelly. What an amazing live performance by the
Idol original! You must check it out if you haven't heard it yet.
98. Britney Spears - Circus

Just like "Queen B," I'm not a huge Britney Spears fan at all, but once in a while, she releases a song that I love. "Circus" is definitely one of them. I loved it so much when it first debuted. I have to say it was the first Britney song I loved that much since "Oops!...I Did It Again." Great track from Ms. Spears.
97. Kat DeLuna - Unstoppable (feat. Lil Wayne)

Kat tried to make a comeback this year. Unfortunately, it wasn't very successful, but I enjoyed the song. It was catchy and fun to sing along with. However, you can imagine how mad I was when this flopped but Sean Kingston's "Fire Burning," which has almost an exact same instrumental, became a hit.
96. Nickelback - Something In Your Mouth

Where there's a little surprise in the list so far. Even the kids at school were surprised to learn I loved this song. The lyrics are extremely suggestive of course. Anybody with a brain can figure out what the song is about just by its title, but it is really fun to jam with. Gets me energized everytime I listen to it.
95. Theory of a Deadman - Bad Girlfriend

One right after the other, eh? Well, I discovered a new band this year, called Theory of a Deadman. Dare I say it, but they could be next decade's answer to Nickelback. Very good track, and just like "Something In Your Mouth," is very fun to jam with.
94. Danger Radio - Slow Dance With a Stranger

Another band I discovered this year. I still have yet to find out if this track is from 2009 or not, but I found it this year, so here it is at number 94. The song is very fun and upbeat. I enjoyed it a lot and I'll probably be continuing to play it this year as well.
93. The Veronicas - 4ever 2009

The perfect pop/rock song from 2005 got remixed this year with brand new vocals for its first ever European release. I became a pretty big fan of this band back in 2008 after discovering them through "Untouched" on iTunes, and have loved them ever since. I was excited about the European release, but was mad to find out it was being released to the U.S. rather than another single from
Hook Me Up. Oh well, the song is still great in any year.
92. The Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be

Easily one of my top favorites from The Peas' comeback album,
The E.N.D. "Imma Be" is really cool with its switch from the hip-hop beat to the jazzy feel of the second half. Great tune and I'm glad it's the next single already moving quickly up the airplay charts as we speak!
91. Jennette McCurdy - So Close

Yes, she is the sidekick on the hit Nickelodeon show,
iCarly, but she packs a pretty powerful punch. Her vocals are really great, and she took a path no one saw coming. Country music! No Disney or Nickelodeon starlet has taken that path before. It's always been pop or r&b. Really fresh. The track is a bit generic country, but it's still fun and the verses really have me going at times. Just so catchy!
Let's get to the artists!
100. Megan Joy

From this year's season of
American Idol, Megan Joy was easily my favorite and who I was rooting for. She didn't have the most amazing vocals out of the group, but she had the best personality and best creativity. I loved her and still hope to hear an album coming from her soon. Her version of "Rockin' Robin" is so fun and so cool.
99. Marié Digby

Another Hollywood Records artist who fails to get the attention she deserves! Her vocals are great and her songs, well they're just fine. She's very Colbie Caillat-ish and very likeable. Her debut album was great and I can't wait to hear her sophomore album, with the single "Symphony," which I was addicted to this summer.
98. La Roux

This is what would happen if Jimmy Neuton and Lady GaGa had a baby. But, I have to say I like her and the band. I've only heard "Bulletproof" in full and a few clips of some of their other tracks, but I think they're something to watch out for in 2010. Very good sounding music.
97. Justin Bieber

I'm sorry ATRLers, but I was at first a fan of this youngster. "One Time" was something that got stuck in my head and I couldn't get it out. I think I finally wised up as I haven't voluntarily listened to his music in a while now, and "One Time" is his only track I've ever downloaded. It was good at first, but now I think he's going to be worse than the Jonas Brothers. Good first time effort, though, kid. Come back when you're voice begins to crack.
96. Christina Aguilera

I've never been a huge fan of Christina Aguilera, but she always has a few good tracks that I like listening to. One of them was popular at the beginning of the year, "Keeps Gettin' Better." Aguilera also gained spins this year from me from the likes of "Ain't No Other Man," "Fighter," and my all time favorite Christina Aguilera song, "Candyman."
95. Billy Joel

For those who didn't know, I started high school this year. I'm also in the band program, which is a pretty big program in our school. Being in band makes you cool, not a geek. At least, not in our school. High school band bring marching season. My very first marching season consisted of two Billy Joel songs, "Piano Man" and "We Didn't Start the Fire." After discovering these songs thanks to band, I downloaded them right away and have played them all the way through marching season. Both songs bring great memories. By the way, how in the hell could he sing "We Didn't Start the Fire" live? How did he remember which verse came first?
94. Mixi

Ah, I'm sure we all remember Tightrope and his obsession with Mixi. He brought me on to her, and I really like "I Miss Those Days (Ghost)." Great track, and I think she could have a bright future if she's given the right promotion. She could be next decade's answer to Amy Winehouse, just without the pot and British accent.
93. The White Tie Affair

Do you remember these guys? I hope you do! "Candle (Sick and Tired)" was pretty decent sized hit in my area and everyone got into them for a while. They are a pretty good band and I hope big things for them in the future.
92. Zac Brown Band

As some of you may know, I'm not that big of a country fan. There are a few tracks I enjoy, and very few country artists I tolerate. This band was no exception. "Chicken Fried" annoyed me like you wouldn't believe, but when "Toes" came along, I couldn't help but download it and play it non-stop. I connect with it like you wouldn't believe! Great tune and I keep hoping for a pop crossover!
91. Christina Milian

I've never been a big fan of hers, but her single, "Us Against the World," had me hooked. It's a great track and I'm sad it didn't do all that well. Looks like she'll still be remembered as the "Dip it Low" girl.
90-81 coming soon! I'll be reviewing some television shows, albums, and some pop culture soon as well!
