Minus the DailyMail (which drags everyone for no reason), I've seen nothing but praise from the media and Hollywood (see: influx of praise on social media). Only Obsessed Gaga Haters who bash everything she does and misogynistic rock fans who abhor everything and anything post-1979 (and also would have bashed the tribute no matter who did it) are being negative. She should have kept them separate. The performance was bad and using it to promote products was disrespectful. Arcade Fire, Grace Jones, Annie Lenox would have been much better suited.

The intel commercial was announced before Bowie even died wasn't it? Boohoo, so she had her commercial air after her performance, it's not a big deal.

Besides, if she had sang just one David Bowie song, stripped down, y'all would've dragged her for being boring.
She chronologically moved through an important part of his career in the performance. It was nice.
But, to each their own.

A stripped down rendition of Heroes with images of David in the background would have been much better than the awful medley, it felt messy and compacted, and Bowie was never seen but barely at the end, intel and gaga were the focus when it should have been David all along.

Oh please, don't give me that.
Gaga did her own version of a Bowie tribute, the way she wanted to do it, just like any other artist would have done.
If Arcade Fire had done the tribute, it would've had a touch of Arcade Fire inspiration in the performance...just like last night's performance had Lady Gaga inspiration in her own version of a tribute to David Bowie.

Even in the Eagles tribute, Glenn Frey was never seen but barely at the end.
David was obviously the focus of the tribute, that's why she did her best to completely embody him and her favorite parts of his career.
If she had done what you are saying "would've been better," everyone on earth would've been let down that she didn't tap into his artsy fartsy/fashion side (as we all would expect Gaga to do).

To turn up dressed as him and sing a medley of his hits isnt exactly tapping into his artistry and showing inspiration. It was just her acting like a Bowie impersonator.
