She's My Girl was also confirmed to not be the single.

I highly doubt it will be Fools Like Us either since 5H has never registered a track on ASCAP BEFORE releasing it. They either register their tracks after they've already been released, or they register tracks that are never released at all. They know that the public has access to these databases, they wouldn't give away the single title like that.

Regarding the iTunes discussion, I'm not using Sledgehammer and Worth It's iTunes peaks as indications for what this single will do, since Sledgehammer and Worth It were both released as instant grat tracks back when they counted for the iTunes charts (they don't anymore). That being said, I do think Top 5 is extremely likely. I'd be very pleasantly surprised if it went #1 though.

I really don't consider IKWYDLS an indicator either since Shawn's fanbase is MUCH bigger than 5H's. His debut single went #1 on iTunes within an hour or two of it being released.

Don't worry, I'm not insisting it's gonna flop or anything like that Like I said in my previous post, I think Top 5 is very likely. I just said I'd be surprised if it got #1 (although it's far from impossible since the current #1 isn't all that strong), and that I don't want to give myself false hope by analyzing peaks of other songs that were released under very different circumstances.

YES!
They need not put it on pre-order though, since it definitely will not go #1 with the new iTunes workup. If they hold off on the pre-order I think they have a legitimate shot at #1. "Work" will probably block it if Rih holds off on the video for another week or two, but I honestly think Top Three is on lock.

Not really. Every song of his that topped iTunes tumbled to the pits and was never seen from or heard from again. IKWYDLS flourished off of the coat tails of Stitches... and he got lucky with that. The harmos beat out fanbases like Bieber's, 1D's and 5SOS' in voting categories... Shawn's fans aren't on that level. His album was super front-loaded bc it was on pre-order for like a million years and he released instant grat after instant grat.

That's 2 weeks from now. And they have yet to release the title. If they released a teaser, fans would've promoted the hell out of it. I hope they're not doing Rihanna, Ariana and Britney's single taster treatment.

This. Although we already know, I think they're trying to pull a ZAYN. He announced "PILLOWTALK" once week before its release and it turned out great, so I think they're trying to minimize the gap between the beginning of the "hyping" (although we're already hyped and Kelly & Michael confirmed a performance already) and the actual release. I think it's actually smart. But they better put up the official cover ... hopefully we'll get a teaser of the song as well. They should hold off on the video release for longevity this time around.
