But anyways, ignore trolls like that. It's honestly sad that people would think a black woman would use her race as a business move when this is the same artist that has shown support for the cause and doesn't even care about silly stuff like single success. Also somebody please explain how its good for her image to cater to race issues when she has a perfectly fine standing with the urban community, if anything she would make another IASF, but when you move past silly stuff like the charts you don't care about a Max Martin #1 you wanna make a difference

it's honestly as if they consider her not true black because she's light-skinned Yes, Bey is an entertainer, but she's a human being also with moral values, opinions, etc just like us.

SHE ISNT PERF FORMATION AT GRAMMYS
she already used the biggest plateform possible to make her statement why would she repeat herself over sth that's still talked about with an unlisted music video and a solely performance. no radio add, no nothing. she needs to perform another song and drop the albumé.

I think it's wayyy more likely for her to perform her second single she was already practicing at the SB soundcheck if rumors are true. This would also make sense regarding an upcoming release of her album.

I've seen people agree with her on some of my social media too, it makes me sad that people are so ignorant but I guess the best you can do in these situations is educate them yourself

In case anyone cares, my FB post defending Bey, Black Lives Matter and the BPP:
Post
Quote:
I've seen this video of Tomi Lahren attacking Beyoncé as well as the Black Lives Matter movement swirling around various media and I feel the need to say my peace on it:
Firstly, Tomi Lahren COMPLETELY misrepresented the Black Lives Matter movement. She said that the movement believes in black superiority: that is not true. Being Pro-Black DOES NOT mean being Anti-White. Being anti-police brutality is NOT necessarily being anti-police. Yes, all lives matter. That is understood. But when innocent black children are being gunned down for committing petty crimes that in no way justify being KILLED, or when they're not even committing a crime at all, it illustrates a fatal flaw in the current judicial and police systems that specifically affects black people. Again, Black Lives Matter is NOT an anti-white movement. It IS about equality. Asking police officers to stop shooting black people who have their hands up or are running away from the police is not asking for special treatment or superior treatment, it's really asking that murder and extreme violence not be wielded excessively and that police officers be held accountable for their actions. I am not taking sides on any individual cases but merely state what Black Lives Matter is about. The fact this woman so grossly misconstrued and devalued a legitimate movement is appalling.
Secondly, when discussing the Black Panther movement, it needs to be contextualized. The movement sought to bring racial change to oppressive and racist national and state governments that barred black people from voting and participating fully in a democratic society. Black people (and supportive white people) were being hosed and attacked in streets for peacefully protesting against racist government policies. The movement DID NOT actively promote violence. It promoted self-defense, in fact, the full name of the party was "the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense." Huey P Newton, leader of the movement SPECIFICALLY said to act peacefully and without violence UNLESS unjustified physical action was committed against an individual. The movement only got "extreme" when it needed to combat extreme racism and oppression from opposing parties. If you believe that that BPP is the Black equivalent of the KKK, please enlighten me as to when they went running through city streets, lynching white people and using political intimidation to keep racist government policies legal. You can't. While some people of this movement may have unfortunately misconstrued it into a hateful group, those few people should not ruin the legacy of a group that allowed black people to become integrated into the American community.
Thirdly, yes, Beyoncé DID do this for attention (perhaps the one thing Tomi said that makes sense). She did this to 1) promote her music, as did Coldplay, Bruno Mars and everyone else who has done the halftime show before, and 2) she did this to shine light on an issue that people want to sweep under the rug. Shining light on American racial issues is NOT meant to divide this country. You can talk about race without trying to be divisive, and especially not anti-white. Why are we ignoring the fact that Beyoncé has white ancestry, and that she participated in this show under the headline of a white British band? Why are ignoring that the finale of the show was about peace, love and acceptance? She is quite obviously not being anti-white, and I'm sure Chris Martin of Coldplay would agree.
As a white person, I do understand the gut reaction of why white people may cringe and freak out about race issues being brought up, or have messages of black empowerment become off-putting or even intimidating. However, when you understand where these issues are coming from, you learn that there is nothing to be offended by or afraid of, and become supportive of those in your communities.

I think she just wanted to get her message across once, as far as promoting "Formation" on large platforms, and then sit back and allow the effects from that take place. With that being said, if she is the surprise performer, I don't see her performing "Formation." She may use The GRAMMYS to debut the lead single (or maybe she'll perform "Runnin'." I know, at this point, we're only here for new music from here on out, but I wouldn't totally be opposed to her performing it).
