Okay but here are the FACTS!

-Needed Me and Sex With Me MUST be sent to urban and rhythmic at some point. Maybe they can be saved for the summer, but I don't want a Lov7 Song situation where the song is embraced but never reaches its full potential.

-Killing any hype for Work doesn't make sense. HOWEVER, if the video is released Grammy weekend it might gain enough buzz to pull-through to the #1 spot. A Grammy performance would obviously help but...

Love On The Brain deserves to be performed at the Grammys and the Brits. Performances there would be milestones in her career and a major shift in her perception.

I am racking my brain trying to figure out ways for her to perform both. A medley would be super, super weird. I kind of don't want it. So a choice has to be made.

An upbeat song where most people can barely understand what she's singing, performed live in a very critical setting... vs. An incredible ballad where she could focus on her vocals.

To me, the choice is obvious. There are a lot of other ways Work can get promo. Let Love On The Brain shine.

-Kiss It Better is the perfect single to launch in the springtime. Let it prosper in the warm weather.

I think she'll perform LOTB at the Grammys...

1. She feels more comfortable performing ballads
2. Work is just not a song suited for a grammy performance
3. She already intended to sing LOTB live once before so we know she's comfortable with the vocals
4. It is the biggest stage and best opportunity for her to show her growth as a musician

It's the best song to lead the album because it's the most radio friendly but I think if we were talking about any other award show BUT the Grammys then she would be performing Work

Well hasn't Stay&FFS already done that? I'm ready for some WMN&WFLesque performance, and both we're pretty much acclaimed.

A "Work" performance, would definitely solidify her as a performer, but then again like I said earlier I'd want a medley. Something to showcase her vocals, and then something to showcase her ability as a performer.

You're talking as if the Grammys is a platform where only ballads are performed.


We also spent all of UA, watching Rihanna kill it vocally with Diamond&Stay and even at the last Grammy performance when she did "FFS"

Not at all but I think she has a clear intent this era to show more of her growth as an artist and the Grammys are the biggest stage to do just that. I just don't think she's gonna miss out an opportunity to do just that and Work is a song that she's gonna have to rely on backing track to perform....LOTB on the other hand, if she's able to nail it would go a long way in introducing her to a whole new audience

Your faith in Rihanna performing "Work" without lots of backing track is sad. She's capable of delivering uptempo song live on big platforms like the Grammys.

I'll stick with a medley doing both. Vocals&Performance.

For an artist who isn't nominated, the Grammy Awards should be a platform to promote their current single. The album proves itself and its own quality, and a million people already downloaded it last week.

A number one single would do more for her right now when people are expressing doubts more about her commercial staying power than about her artistry.

I'm so torn, I can't decide if a medley and a full work performance or just work would be better, I don't want the GP to be confused about what the single is but a medley might help the album.

But i suppose the medleys worked wonders in the LOUD era so

Oh I don't mind a medley but if she's gonna sing just one song I'd rather it be LOTB....this album is a clear departure from her previous work and any opportunity she gets to showcase that, she should take it
