@y'all - Her release schedule has only gotten lighter as time has gone by. Like, she isn't literally putting out 20 different album/single/dvd/etc. releases within a year like she used to. The frequency of her releases or the time taken =/= the quality, honestly. If you look at her track record, she's done some of her best work in the shortest time periods. Duty was recorded and finished in like 2 months after concert tour 2000 was over, for example. The works you laud as her most creative, best, etc. were all finished in short amounts of time and most were recorded and released on top of one another. There's no telling if she spends more time on an album that it'd be better. Personally, what I think she needs to do is work with new people or get a new A&R team. If she keeps working with the same people (Yuta Nakano, Tetsuya Yukumi, Kazuhiro Hara and, as much as I love him, Tetsuya Komuro have plagued most of her work for a long ass time) it starts to get stale after a while. The songs most have called highlights of her recent work were done by people she hasn't collaborated with many times like RedOne's work on Movin' on without you or DAISHI DANCE's work on Sayonara.
Personally, I use most of her recent work but I can see why some would get tired of it tho.
This tea scalded me, Kylegod, I'm so sorry for doubting her.
I would love A Best 3. I don't understand why they're re-releasing A Best when it's the same exact album that everyone already owns.
Because it was selling like crazy digitally last year and the old people running things think those youngsters buying it from recochoku are also gonna pay 30x more for a physical copy.
this will happen though dd you better prepare yourself!
can you imagine though, it's like Madonna being dropped by whichever label she's from
the disrespecT.
I don't think it'll happen while she's still pulling some tour numbers though, they'll only begin limiting ha budget more and more. She'll hate to pull a gaga to pay for her props (if she's not already doing it)
What if she becomes inspired by her husband and being in italy and releases a folky album or whatever the **** that stereotypical italy sound is called, oh god I literally can't handle folk

I doubt they'll actually drop her sdsaasd (especially since at her peak her profits accounted for 50% of their net income - there's definitely a sense of loyalty there, they were a huge label before but she cemented their status as the #1 label in Japan) but the chances of her maintaining her sales to the point she never reaches hitomi level isn't likely. She'll still snatch my coins at least.

drag me to the pits
I guess that's the reason I love Colours a lot from her recent releases: it's totally fresh and risky, and almost totally made by people who she doesn't work often. I would love a less foreign release with different people. where's BOUNCEBACK and gems like ourselves, GAME, my name's WOMEN?
@ The Ayu discussion, I don't want her to retire but she should take some time off like a year or so and comeback completely fresh. I want her to pull a Kylie and release ha Impossible Princess.
